2000 Cavalier hard starting after warm sometimes

I have a 2000 Cavalier. Lately during the middle of the day when I try to start it, it is sluggish starting. Like the battery is low. When it does start the "Trac Off" light comes on. If I turn off the car and restart the light goes off. Also after the first time of sluggish start the car starts fine, until it sets for a while again. This only happens during the day never in the mornings, and it does not matter if the car has been running earlier in the day or not. Any ideas?

Thanks

Thumbs up Re: 2000 Cavalier hard starting after warm sometimes

Hey mate....Never been to Texas, but i heard that "Lone Star" brew, is tops !!! I heard everything is big in Texas...you have a tinny bigger than my Fosters ??? If so.....I am heading that way !!! How far to Luckenbach from the Aus???

I know you have a AutoZone or Advance near by !!!...have them check out the battery/connections/alternaro and the starter. I hear that do it for FREE !!! now that is a deal.

Start there.....let us know what you find.

Hee Haw partner !!!! JzJzz ...and the Man from Down Under ....

Re: 2000 Cavalier hard starting after warm sometimes

I had Advanced Auto check the battery yesterday. I am going to pull the alternator tonight and have them check it, then I guess by your suggestion I will have them check the starter next.

Thanks
