Coil Check

COP COIL CHECK

1) Keep suspected bad coil electrical connector connected.
2) Unplug coil from spark-plug.
3) Connect a SPARE spark plug into coil + tape it in with black electrical tape.
The original plug is in the head, and a Spare plug is being used for a spark check.
4) Connect a black jumper cable on engine ground , and other end to the base of spare spark plug.
5) Start engine.
6) Does the spark-plug work? ''Blue''
7) If not, roll bad coil with a known good coil.

Note: If coil is contaminated with water/oil use electronic CRC cleaner and Hair dryer for dry cleaning.

How much does it cost to replace a bad COP? $500
