#045 makes an appearance in New York

In a quest to bring you some up to date shots, this was seen at a private Supercar event in New York

Nice to see #045 getting some air.

Looks like it was an amazing showing. I found one additional image of the F1 so far.



Jason Thorgalsen was apparently there with his camera, so hopefully he'll release some great shots in the next few days too.

Jason popped up on my instant messaging client tonight so I sent him a note that read:

"I hear you are hiding things from me "

His reply: "LOL"

So the good news is he was there and did have his camera - the bad news is that the owner left a little earlier than most so he was only able to get two or three photos unfortunately. He sent me these two so far - he thinks he may have one more of it in a group shot. This first one is definitely wallpaper material!

Two owners,....Five F1,s.........Sultans of New York.

Plus Herb Chambers, Frank Selldorff, and Marvin Schein have F1s nearby. And isn't there a BMW-liveried GTR on display in CT somewhere? Quite a cluster in that little corner of the world!

The GTR floats around - last displayed publicly in a museum in NY as I recall.

There's at least one more road car out there too - #038, the orange one that we know so well as the former Dan Kennedy F1. I've heard strong speculation about who the new owner of this car is, but it is still unconfirmed.

The Greenwich Concours happens this weekend, so maybe we will see an F1 make an appearance. There are plenty to choose from afterall.

I'll be attending the Concours o Sunday, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up for an F1! I don't think there was one last year but there was on 2006.

Erik, can you tell me more about the FINA GTR museum exhibit?

I think Herb Chambers brought his out and parked it as a spectator lot last year, so you never know. Best of luck!

Sorry - should have been more clear. It was displayed at the Saratoga Automobile Museum, but that dates back to the end of 2005. Here's some pics from their Supercar exhibit:
