2000 V6 Accord w/Electrical Problems

Hello, this is my 1st post in the Forum and I hope that someone can help me. I own a 2000 V6 Accord w/automatic transmission. The car has ~90,000 miles and is well maintained.

Last Friday while driving home from work many of the in-dash warning lights (e.g. battery, doors/trunk open, SRS,etc.) began to flash on & off but I was able to drive the car home. The next day there was no power going to the driver side door lock w/anti-theft system and the car would not start, without any power at all. Connecting jumper cables to another car restored power to my 2000 Accord and I could start it and drive it as normal but the same in-dash lights were going on and off. When I stop the car, after a few hours the power goes dead again and I have to repeat the jumper process in order to start up the vehicle.

I replaced the battery, which did not resolve the problem and hope someone can steer me in the right direction regarding what is wrong with the electrical system of this car? This car has had the EGR valve and the alternator replaced during the last 20,000 miles.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Check all grounds.

Check connections at the battery posts. Make sure they are clean and tight.

What alternator did you use for replacement. If aftermarket, get your car to Autozone, Kragen, etc and get it checked for free.

Good luck,

Sam

Thanks for the reply Sam. I'm going to "tinker" with the car this afternoon, but since I'm not much of an auto mechanic; I'm not too optimistic about the outcome. Most likely I will end up having the car towed to the garage.
