My 2000 GP GT started to shake noticeably from the front end when accelerating. Steering wheel wobbles back and forth quite a bit. When i let off the gas the car coasts smoothly. I just had new rotors and pads put on the front also. It feels like something is loose or out of balance. Any input would be appreciated. Tire pressure was correct.

Re: Wobble/vibrating while accelerating
Only during acceleration, not while coasting? What's the current miles on the car? When was (if any) the last transmission fluid/filter change done?

Re: Wobble/vibrating while accelerating
Current miles on car is about 165,000. When I let off the gas the car coasts down the road without and steering wheel wobble at all.

Re: Wobble/vibrating while accelerating
Check the axle shafts to see if the CV joints are going bad. The other area to check is the control arm bushings. Both will cause a problem like you mentioned in your thread.

Re: Wobble/vibrating while accelerating
+1 on checking axle shafts...
Is it worse under HEAVY acceleration? |

Re: Wobble/vibrating while accelerating
Yes, it's worse under heavier acceleration. This fix sounds expensive and a difficult one for me to do myself. I'm pretty good with this stuff but need more info if you could on what to do next. I'm still driving it too. Don't have a choice right now.
