Opinions F 350

looking to buy a 88-97 f 350 diesel. my price range limits the mileage to mostly vehicles near or past the 200,000 mark. These trucks still are kind of high for a toy at near $6000 also, from the people who know these trucks, are they worth 5 months salary with 200k miles on them? will i still get good service, and what repairs will begin showing up after that mileage mark.

thanks everyone

7.3 IDI diesels are probably just being broken in at the 200k mark.
If the PO took care of it, you should be fine.
Change all the fluids and filters, the truck will work as hard as ever.

6k for that vintage is about correct, the main thing to look for (depending on location) is rust on the body.

Most large trucks are getting cheaper by the minute, so keep your eyes out for that deal of a life time!
