Were are you guys running the power wire though the fire wall on a 98?

You did not state what gauge wire you are running through, but if it is 4 gauge or smaller there is a good spot on the drivers side. The easiest on my 96 blazer was a factory grommet for a small wire harness under the carpet directly in front of the brake pedal. Simply pull grommet out, install slit with razor (careful of your digits and existing wire harness), run new wire through slit and re-install grommet. Worked for me, hope you truck is the same way!

There is a place on the passenger side by the glove compartment and may be easier since the battery is on that side also. You're basically using the same routing used for the factory radio antenna, i've never been able to locate this myself yet.
