no spark on an 87 nova

ok guys im at a loss on this 1. i got and 87 chevy nova 1.6 in my brought to me as a no start. i found out that it has no spark. replaced the coil pack and still has no spark. what else am i missing? if someone has a wiring diagram of the igntion system that would help but im at a loss. (and yes this is also an 87 toyota corrolla, i say its not a nova.)

it could be a terminal problem. no charge it making it through them.. or possibly the distributor. which is what went on my 86 nova just last week.

I would say it's probably the distributor. See if you can find one to swap in jsut to find out before dropping the money on a new one. You won't be able to return it once installed adn that's a waste of big money if it turns out to be somethign else. Good luck
