I own a 1999 mitsubishi eclipse spyder non turbo the air mass sensor went bad and is it possible for a cold air intake system totally replace the MAS? Thanks? -clueless lady

The MAF - Mass airflow sensor - Can not be replaced. Thats what the ECU uses to read how much air is going into the motor. With out this the ECU has not a clue how much air is going into the coming motor. A cold air intake only allows you to get colder air to the motor.
