Infinity Kappa..good brand?

A friend of mine is selling his Infinity Kappa Speakers. Here is the specs on them:

5 1/4 component speakers
50.7 CS
1" M.M.D. dome tweeters with crossovers
power range: 2-85 watts RMS (255 watts peak power)
frequency response: 55-25,000 Hz
sensitivity: 94 dB

and they also come with custom kickpanels...they look awesome!
All for ONLY $30.00.

Anyways..If I get these will I need a new amp to power these?
Because currently I have two 6x9 sonys, two 6 1/2 pioneers and two 10"RockFord Fosgates with a 1 farad RF cap being powered by my amp which is 1000watts.(I know I need a batter amp)

Any info would be great..thanks.

Re: Infinity Kappa..good brand?

Those are IMO the Bentley of speakers based on Sound quality. They are up there on comparability with BOSE and Harmon Kardon.

Re: Infinity Kappa..good brand?

Okay,so I took my kick panels to be installed today and it seems that they need their own AMP. I have pioneers in the doors and sony on the back dash and then the rockford subs.So the guys explained to me that there wont be enough power just from the radio and so on. So what is a good amp just to run my kappas off of?? Power range: 2-85 watts RMS (255 watts peak power)Do I need a 2ch amp or a 4??

oh, you dont "need" an amp, but if you really want to hook your system up - you should get one - 1000 real watts is alot of power - its 80 amps at 12 volt -

A friend is selling one so I looked up the specs. It looks like it might work.
