Transmission Problems Coming?

Hello,

Please bear with me, I'm not into cars much, and may be ask stupid questions...

I drive a '91 corsica. Today, while turning right, I went to shift to neutral from drive. I pushed it a little to far, and hit reverse. I managed to stop the car, turn it off, let it sit, turn it back on, and drive home without issue.

My question, what kind of problems do you think I'll run into because of this incident?

Thanks in advance if you can help!

Re: Transmission Problems Coming?

I have known several people that have done this with no apparent damage. I did once myself briefly years ago. Not something you want to do often though. If it is doing well now I would not worry but listen for anything weird for a little while.
