AC Expansion valve location for 88 Honda Accord LXi

I need to know the exact location of the AC expansion valve on my 1988 Honda Accord LXi model. The engine is fuel injected with an automatic transmission. I know it is located in the housing under the dash. Can it be removed without pulling the complete housing down? Could there be a possibility of cutting into the blower housing to reach it and then reseal the cut out? I know the valve is bad because of pressure readings. Any help will be sincerely appreciated.
