Engine swap

This is my situation i have a 1989 silverado 350 tbi that i just reach 530,000 miles in and the engine is just done but the truck is in mint condition. I recently inhertited an old camro and its rusted apart but has a brand new 305 with carburetor. So my question is will the 305 fit in the silverado easy, how much time, how much cost and just what would it in entail?

Re: Engine swap

What year is the Camaro? There are lot of changes and you have use the flexplate off the 305.You have to change the heads, intake manifold and exhaust manifolds also which takes a lot of time. You are better off finding a 1988 to 1995 350 which wil fit in with less changes.
