96 belt prob

my friend has a 96 sl2 not sure on the miles. but he just had the belt replaced a month or 3 ago. i guess he was driving home the other night and it got loose but didnt come off. how do you tighten it back up or does he need a new belt tensioner

If the belt is loose, the tensioner has gone bad. Replace it.
