Re: 01 AC question

Might need to check the entire system for leaks

Re: 01 AC question

Did you really use Freon (R-12) or R-134a? Does the compressor clutch engage and spin the compressor? If so, how long does the compressor stay engaged?

Re: 01 AC question

We used R-134a "Big Chill" and you can hear the compressor come on and it will run without cycling on and off.

Re: 01 AC question

Did you pull a vacuum on the system to get all moisture out (and verify no leaks) prior to filling with the R-134a? I'm not sure if the compressor would stay engaged if there is moisture in the system, I suspect it would.

You may also want to check proper operation of the blend door, maybe your blend door is stuck blending too much air through the heater core.

Re: 01 AC question

That's because you didn't replace the dryer and orface tube. When the compressor locks up it tends to send metal shavings into the system then plug the orface tube. With that said you also voided the warranty on your new compressor by not change these items.

Re: 01 AC question

Little Update. The compressor will come on then go off constantly. What is the deal. The compressor is constantly cycling.

Re: 01 AC question

What is the pressure on the low side is it normal????? If it is then you more then likely have higher then normal pressure on the high side that might be cycling the compressor due to what I said above.
