1997 gmc jimmy power window problems
i have a 1997 gmc jimmy that windows wont work and when i try to operate any of the windows the abs light comes on and if the blower is blowing it turns it off, also there a when i try taking the negative cable off the battery it is hot, i also did a ohm check on the negative of the power window circuit breaker and reads zero.
apparently i have a short somewhere but where can i start? |

Make sur it is a short.
Run a amp draw amp reading test on it. A shorted circuit wiil read high amps. If it is a short start unplugging toll you find it. Remember a 97 is a bad year on ign switches.

thanks, i think i found the problem, when i tap on the ignition switch everything works fine windows let up and down and a/c fan works also with no short. so all i need to do now is to replace the ignition switch. hope this help other with the same problems
