Well guys ... Today is not a happy day. I was just sued. I have to go to hockey right now but I will leave you with the chance to guess for how much.

Allright well the shock has nummbed down abit and I Figure I can begin to tell this story.

On Feb 10th 2006 me and my soccer team finished a midnight indoor soccer game at about 1. We absolutely hammered the other team and we won like 9-0 or something. We decided that we would go to the local on campus bar for a pint. We went there grabbed a couple beers nothing happened and when the bar closed we were going to go play indoor beach volleyball. I left to go to my car to get my soccer ball and some gear with another bud. When we came back a couple p-layers from my team were in this heated argument with these drunk guys who were trying to start a fight. They were chirping us about being soccer players and having a soccer ball and all that stupid shit. We were trying to walk away but they like came off the bus and came at us. Anyways one guy comes at me who was about 6'3 and i threw a jab at him and it caught him on the button and knocked him out. Anyways he falls back smacks his head against a curb and goes inito a coma. Long story short he has a few continuing problems such as some hearing loss in an ear and some balance problems and slurred speach since. Now him and his family are suing. Me the university and the bar and a bouncer for 1.6 million dollars in damages. Its a ridiculous sum of money. I guess I willl have to fight it obviously just like I am fighting the court case that was associated with it. There is sooo much more to this story but you guys get the gist.

DDAAAAAAMMMMMMNNNNNNN. Crazy story. That's stupid. People start shit and they're the ones that sue. And (not to be stupid or mean) but they usually win too. Hopefully you can get this worked out. Is there any evidence that they started everything and the punch was justified? Like video?

I hope you come out on top of this one. The whole thing is just stupid IMO.

Well there is evidence in the sense that people said they were clearly the antagonizers and that they were drunk that the guy did come at me from witnesses (in fact all witnesses agree that they were the ones who started the fight (even them) but no video or anything.

Yea the guy spent a month in the hospital in a coma and I got charged with aggravated assault. Pretty shitty situation to say the least. They also had already gotten in a fight that night in fact the guy they had beat up before earlier in the night saw them in the hospital (because they went there with there comatosed friend and he was there getting his injuries treated,.

Hire yourself a good lawyer and make sure you get all the witness accounts on the record. You should be able to pull self defense and get out of it. Good luck though man hopefully things work out.
