Zoom Clutch

Anybody had any experience with Zoom clutches? My mechanic called me up and said that is what he would recommend and that I would probably never have to replace it again as long as I owned the car, assuming I did not absolutely beat the shit out of it. I think he quoted me somewhere along the lines of $500 for stage 3 clutch and flywheel combo without labor. This guy is a transmission specialist and his word is gospel to me, but wanted to know if anybody here has ever used this brand on these cars because that is a nice chunk of money to throw down on a clutch.

If not, what brand would you recommend for these cars?

Re: Zoom Clutch

It would be for the 3kgt. Why don't you like Zoom Jason?

Summit sells them if you wanted to take a look at what I was looking at...

Re: Zoom Clutch

Because I know they suck.. I had to get warrenty and 3 of the 3 zoom clutchs I sold.. Then I stoped selling them.. by all means get them if you want.. but the only way it will last the rest of the time you own the car is if you sell it before you have it done..

ACT- good clutch
RPS- My favorit FTW
spec- good
Clutch masters- good

There is a list for you.. I can also get you a good deal on anyone of these kits.. shoot me a PM if you are interested.. if you go with the Zoom good luck..

Re: Zoom Clutch

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm still going to go with the Zoom since my mechanic is pretty confident and if theres a problem with it he has assured me he will take care of it at no cost. I appreciate the input though. I will try and remember to post back after I get my car back and put a few miles on it.
