Fuel pressure

My '97 Cav 2.2 is in a shop having a stumbling problem checked. I received a call stating that the fuel pressure was down to 59 PSI. Apparently, it shoould be around 70 PSI. Although I am not familiar with injection systems, it seems to me that everything should still function properly at 59 PSI.

Could the 11 PSI drop in pressure cause a stumble from idle? The car runs great at cruise speeds and part throttle.

Are there any factory specs on fuel pressure range?
Thanks,

Thumbs up Re: Fuel pressure

That seem very high.....per the manual. Key on, engine not running is 41 -47 psi
You may have a defective pressure regulator or a pinched or clogged fuel return line.

JzJzz ...and the man from down under....Cheer mate !!!
