New Shocks
Im looking to get new shocks for my 6-banger. Im not looking to spend top dollar for the lastest and greatest shocks out there, I just want something better than stock for a good price.
Any sugestions?

Re: New Shocks
go with the stock iroc shocks. they will be stiffer and better valved than the stock shocks for your rs. dont worry about over damping either. they arent THAT stiff.
tire rack has a good selection |

Re: New Shocks
yep, kyb's are good.
they transformed my caprice from "riding on a bubble" to "riding on a bubble on rails" the handling improved about 1000% when i have money, im going to put some kyb's on my camaro |

Re: New Shocks
the ones i got were the gas-a-just line.
they automatically adjust the valving based on the conditions of the road. |

Re: New Shocks
How much work is involved in changing out shocks on these third gens? I've never worked on suspension in my life.

on the front, you have to contort your arm to fit up on top of the spring perch and manuver it to reach under the lower arms. the front can be a biotch if you cant reach stuff. i plan on doing new shocks on the camaro asap, but money is the limiting factor. |
