Greddy Type RS BOV

I'm looking to get one here soon. I need to know what EXACTLY I need to mount and use. I know I'm going to need a recirculation kit but what size outlet pipe do I need? What flange?...mild steel or aluminum? I have a stock BOV on the stock pipe...what do i need to buy. If you were going to go to buy everything you need to mount this BOV what would you buy...in detail please. Pardon my ignorance but I'm learning as I go just like all of you have had to do.

Re: Greddy Type RS BOV

that is all you need the recirculation fitting and the flange either stell or aluminum will work just fine. 34 MM OUTLET PIPE. BUt that price for the flange is expensive I PAID LIKE 9 BUCKS FOR AN EBAY FLANGE.

Re: Greddy Type RS BOV

Will the BOV still be loud if it's recirculated? I want it to be super loud.

Re: Greddy Type RS BOV

It'll be louder but any BOV will be loud when it isn't recric'd, even stock.

Re: Greddy Type RS BOV

Will the BOV be loud enough to make it worth it? When I'm sitting still and I rev the car up the BOV doesn't make a sound at least not enough to hear. I want to hear it loud as hell especially when I'm sitting still and I just want to rev her up and get that pshhhtt!!!

Re: Greddy Type RS BOV

When sitting still it seems like no matter how hard I rev her up I never hear the BOV. Also if I do it slowly up to about 4500 I still don't hear anything, I don't dare go higher when sitting still.

Re: Greddy Type RS BOV

It will deffinately be louder than stock. You should be able to hear it pretty well even at idle.

Re: Greddy Type RS BOV

hi i just got my new greddy type rs today over ebay, i need help installing it to my toyota tercel turbo diesel 1994, the problem is that when i remove the stock bov from its place off the cylender head i end up with an extra huge pipe that was installed to the stock bov by nut and it dosent even fit to the greddy bov, the stock bov mounts up on the cylender head so even the greddy bov installs on the same place,i connect the other pipe and done, but still i have this huge pipe that is not installed ,where do i need to install this pipe or should i install a plug on it.

please help me out im eager to hear my toyota pssssst, thanks a lot .

Re: Greddy Type RS BOV

well first let me say wrong sub-forum and you are reviving a dead thread.

Second the description is very unclear what you mean and normally bov's don't go on cylinder heads they go on intercooler pipes. I'm not too clear what pipe you are talking about at first it sounds like a mounting flange issue. But from your vague description it could also be that your old BOV was recirculated and this one is venting.
