honda civic sir ????????

ok dont yell at me im just asking but my friend has a 99 honda civic he claims it is a SI-R now when i saw the logo it looked like something you can buy from autozone and he swore up and down that this car is from canada and that there idea of an si is different so i need some clarity now in all my time ive seen si but not si-r he also says it comes stock with a b series motor its either the 18 or the 16 also the gauges have the si-r emblem on them where the numbers are on the speedometer now someone with any knowledge of this chime in and let me know

actually in canada there is an SiR if your friend has ABS on his civic then he is not making it up. The usdm version (Si) did not have an ABS option, however the canadian (SiR) does have ABS and the same B16 engine that the usdm Si came with
