what is this part?

The other night I ran over a dead deer lying in the road. There is a plastic shield in front of the fuel tank with a plastic hose and a metal hose coming from it. It broke the brackets that hold this up and I don't know what it is so I can order another. I have it tied up now with rubber straps. I would like to fix it myself if I can, so if any one knows what it is called,I would appreciate it.

What year, engine, and body style is your Taurus? Any other details such as what shape the hoses connect to, etc.?

Sorry, It is a 2003 taurus SES 4 dr sedan, V6 3.0.

You could take a picture or read us the VIN #

S=Duratec 24 Valvle Dual Overhead Cam
U= Vulcan 12 valve pushrod motor
2= Vulcan 12 valve pushrod motor configured to be a flexfuel motor
