cold car starts fine but when hot truns over but wont start

i have a 98 gtp and when its cold it starts fine but after about 5 mins of running it starts wanting to stall and me rpms go to 0 and my trac light comes on and then dies but i can still here my fuel pump running sometimes and it has like a clicking sound coming from the fuel rails and i have fuel pressure but it wont start until about 15 mins later and then runs fine for about another 5 mins and then does the same thing again could somebody please help me with this problem

It sounds like a bad crankshaft position sensor to me. They don't always trip a Check Engine Light, and will cause the stalling/no-start, tach dropping to zero and trac-off light you describe.

i replaced the cps today but still doing the same thing any other ideas

Remove the ignition module and bring it to autozone or advance for testing. Have them do it twice to get it nice and warm.

Have you tried a fuel pump resistor bypass yet? Check the tips and maintenance subforum.

is there any way that this is caused by the EVAP canister being full

Nope, I dont think an EVAP canister can ever fill up, your PCM commands the EVAP Purge valves open and empties the vapors back into the intake manifold.

i also just found out that when it shuts off and wont start back up that it is getting no spark is this symtoms of the icm going bad

ICM or else CPS, you changed the CPS already so the ICM is the next possible issue. Like I said just remove it and take it in for testing. No sence replacing something that isnt bad.

took the icm to auto zone they said that it was good. any other ideas.

You could have a bad replacement CKPS (especially if the one you bought is a cheapo aftermarket brand), or the wiring to it has chaffed through or is corroded.
