F1Racing Clutch and EVOIIIGT turbo question?
Since I will be rebuilding my engine soon, I needed to know something. I found out I have the EVOIIIGT turbo,
the one that is replica, made in Taiwan. It was changed by the previous owner of the car. So , is anyone else running GT. What do you think of it? Should I leave it or should I go for a real Big16G turbo? Also what do you think of F1Racing clutch kits? They seem to be on affordable price.... |

Re: F1Racing Clutch and EVOIIIGT turbo question?
Dont even bother with either. If the GT is on and working ok then whatever, but I'd advise you to swap it when you have time and/or money to do so. Cheap ass ebay clutches like that arent worth their weight in dog shit, spend money and get a reputable one.

Thanks guys, I think I will stick with the GT at the moment. Looks fine and it is almost new.
Which ACT is good for stage 2? ACT 2600+street disc ?!?! |

Re: F1Racing Clutch and EVOIIIGT turbo question?
Yea I am running an act 2600 with sprung 6 puck disc and it is easily streetable and I would consider it higher than "stage two".

Re: F1Racing Clutch and EVOIIIGT turbo question?
Word. The sprung 6 puck 2600 can take well into the 500 ft-lb range. Thats what I'm rockin too, except mine isnt in yet. I've driven a sprung 6 puck 2600 in a 300zx, definately a solid clutch. The street disk's torque capacity isnt so high, but should suffice plenty well for a 16g. Other than that, Zoom clutches are rebrands of Fidanza's and are a solid $50 cheaper than the Findanza's, so thats a pretty solid route to go as well. Also, I dont remember what the torque capacity is on the Exedy stage 2, but my friend had one in his Del Sol and that seemed to be a pretty good clutch for a good price, although it did like to chatter.

Wait till you see the chatter on that 6 puck.
Fuck it, it adds character.
