Only Receiving 2 Stereo Station Channels

HI Z LOVERS!
I recently purchased a previously owned 2004 Nissan Fairlady 350z. I noticed that I did not get as many channels and was told to get a new stereo. Did that. Still only getting 2-3 channels. Told to get new wiring & antenna. Did that and I still can't get more than 2-3 channels. I live in a Tri-State area and I can drive 10 miles to Calif and get 11+ stations and drive 10 miles to Nevada and get 11+ channels yet in my own backyard I get 2-3. My other car get 11+ channels at home. Help, I'm tired of listening to the same old cd's.
