You Don't Need that SUV!!!
What the hell is wrong with all of you people out there? Why are you all still buying these big ass SUV's when you don't even need them? If you only drive it on the interstate, empty, to and from work what is the point? I am so sick of seeing all you rich bastards driving around in your V8 SUV's when you all know you have never put anything big in it, you have never towed anything, and you don't have 8 kids! Why are you making everyone else suffer? Is it because you think you look good? Is it because you are just waiting for that one time someone asks you to tow something for them? I can't think why anyone would continue to buy them! Buy what you need! If we all pull together maybe we can make gas a little cheaper and keep the earth around a little longer!

Actuall I heard on National Public Radio that if your SUV is 3 years old or less keep it. The lose in value of selling it combined with the lose the day you drive a smaller car off the lot will be alot more than you can save in gas. Some people are just stuck with a bad situation.

SUVs are nothing, I have a neighbour down the road that drives a God Damn hummer. Probably makes up for some short commings or something.

The reason I bought my suv is to haul around all the crap we carry. I do agree with the soccer mom image driving the loaded 8mpg hummer, it does seem a little excessive, but they are not solely to blame for the current issue with fuel prices. It's more global economy and politics, every time someone blows something up in the mid east, oil goes up.

What does anyone even need a car for? All people have do is get off their *sses and walk, ride a bike, or wait a minute! We could build a vehicle that runs on self-righteousness - we'll never need to worry about filling it, it'll be full of sh*t all the time
 . Oops, hang on, if that were the case, there would still be all of that hot air contributing to 'climate change' or whatever they've labeled it now. I guess there's no solution to the problem. Whatever shall we do? Please, people.... Whatever it is that you believe, do your part to make things better they way you see fit in your life. Don't go telling everyone that something is right just because something was on t.v., or you read it on the internet, or your teacher told you. It doesn't mean that it's true. Do your own research, dig back to the source of the issue (whatever it may be), and draw your own conclusions. I'm only saying this because I'm tired of people trying to force their beliefs on others before actually looking into the issue for themselves. (SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!  )It pisses me off when I'm told to quit smoking, or not drive my car, etc. because of someone else's inability to think for themselves. Am I wrong? maybe... Should I cater to every little whim that someone spews out? Definitely not! Remember; opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one... (some of them stink) I'm well aware of the fact that I'm essentially being a hypocrite, and forcing my views upon everyone else, but aren't we all hypocrites in some small way?  Anyways, I'll draw back into my corner and let everybody go back to whatever it is that they were doing before I got all pissy  .

Sorry but certainly not jealous. This is coming from someone who just sold his Chevy Blazer! (Used to tow ATV's but grew out of that) They were built for a specific purpose! That purpose is not to compensate for your small penis syndrome! I want my kids to be able to enjoy this planet. I want their kids and their kids' kids to be able to enjoy it just as much as we get to! I agree that wiping all the SUV's off the earth will not stop "global warming" or solve this gas "crisis" we are in now but it certainly won't hurt anything! To those who own one and actually use it for what it was built for I say own on but to those who get it to make yourself look cool it is not working! And to you 2.2 I would just say settle down! Why do you care so much that I care? Sounds like you are getting awefully defensive over such a small issue! I will just assume you are one of those who are way over compensating for something!
