Metro Frame can be saved!?!?!?
Just wanted to share a link with you guys that I stumbled upon.
On mine I've been shooting 15W30 done any factory hole I can find in that area until it's leaking onto the floor. I'm giving it a POR15 Treatment very soon. Especially with the talks of 8 bucks a gallon gas! http://metroxfi.com/2008/05/how-to-r...d-metro-frame/

Re: Metro Frame can be saved!?!?!?
Dude that is sweet! I am needing to get mine fixed real soon. I rotated the tires and the left front was stuck. I started whacking it with a hammer and I seen rust falling, so I looked under and seen the crack in mine became a gaping hole!
I will do what I can to save this Metro and hopefully post pics of the repair job when I do mine.

Whether I store my Metro or not may come down to how my winter car holds up. Obviously best protection from rust is storing the car. Iowa winter roads get loaded up with salt. Mark |

Re: Metro Frame can be saved!?!?!?
Dude, I spent 8 hours repairing my 97 hatchback, 1.0, frame 2 days ago.
It worked!! Same area as yours, we built around where it had rotted, hope it holds up. Chris Worcester ny |

I'm sure glad that Oregon doesn't use salt.
