2003 4.7 stalls at idle .. sometimes

When I pull up to a light, the engine will rev up to 1k RPM, and then drop to 300 RPM. It will do this a couple of time and then die. Start it back up and no problem. It won't do it if the A/C is on because the computer says 600 RPM with A/C on. I replaced the PCV valve, and it seemed to be OK for a couple of days, then it started again yesterday. Not as often as before.

Re: 2003 4.7 stalls at idle .. sometimes

Hey I have an 03 and it was doing the same thing, the idle would bounce around, high then low, until it finally would die. Everything I read said the IAC Solenoid but it ended up being the TPS!!! Now i have a spare IAC. Good Luck!!

sounds like the tps sensor. does it idle high when you first start it up after setting all night? you might want to check your fuel pressure also. and vaccum hoses.
