4x4 front locking hub grease

I bought some new locking hubs for my tracker. Can anyone tell me what kind of grease I need to put in them? I went to buy some yesterday, only to find out that there was like 10 different kinds, that the one store sold. Figured I better get some info before I screw something up.

Re: 4x4 front locking hub grease

What i used on my hubs was Motorcraft Long Lasting Grease that come in a tube for a grease gun. Bearing grease works just as well. There are many different brands, i've used alot of different ones and haven't had problems with any of them. The more expensive brands are usually better quality.

Re: 4x4 front locking hub grease

It varies by manufacturer. Warn's instructions specifically state "DO NOT GREASE".

Understood about WARN's warning, hehe, I figured the inside of the hub that meets with the gear on the axle. I figure metal to metal with gears is not really a good thing.
