2001 PT power steering failure

2001 PT 2.4L dohc, 5spd manual

Vehicle has no power steering.

Fluid level is full.

No whining or change in engine RPM when wheel is turned.

No power steering noise what so ever.

No leaking at pump or rack & pinion

No bubbling in overflow tank.

Please help with any experiences you may have had. The pump is very difficult to pull out (to bench test).

What was the problem with your PT? I just had the power steering go out on my 2003 PT and I can not figure out why.
