factory stereo wire info
I have the original stereo for my Olds Intrigue and am trying to get it back into operation. When I bought the car, it was replaced with an aftermarket head. Now that it's dead, I want to put the original back into play. I do not have the connector head as it was cut off for the new head unit. I want to find something that details what pin does what on the back of the radio so I can make my own plug for it. Any ideas on where to find the info? Thanks in advance...

Re: factory stereo wire info
this is EXACTLY why I would never reccomend cutting the factory harness off...not only does it make it harder to hook up the aftermarket headunit, but it makes it near impossible to hook up the original factory unit again. Just go to a junker yard and find an intrigue and snip the connector off of that...then match up the wires by colour...make sure you take it off the car with the same head unit (basic/CD/bose premium etc....)
FIY its about $6 for a reverse connector so you dont have to cut any wires when installing an aftermarket headunit...cutting factory wires is

Re: factory stereo wire info
They actually sell reverse harnesses for people in this very situation. You can get one for 7 bucks shipped, here:
