Where do you like to vacation?

The wife and I are trying to plan a vacation. We just wanted everyone's opinions on some cool vacation spots! Just wondering where everyone likes to go to get away!

I agree with Bezerk - it does make a difference if you have children or not, but the vacation we took could go for a family or a couple.

Paradise Village in Puerta Vallarta Mexico was amazing. Went there 2 years ago and am currently saving to go back. The vacation was actually very cheep. Went with the entire family (16 of us). It cost my immediate family $2000 total for 2 adults and 2 children. That includes flight, meals, alcoholic drinks and two adventures (I went swimming with the Dolphins and my hubby went on a Zip line adventure). It was the most amazing vacation ever. I would recommend it to anyone.

They are all suites and they have a shopping center with a grocery store on site. It is great to be able to stay in the room and make breakfast, then walk out onto the private beach for the day . The entire complex is gaurded as well so you don't have the vendors driving you crazy.

Thanks for the replies. We do not have any kids but are planning on having some soon. If all goes as planned this will probably be the last vacation we will take without having a little munchkin running around with us!

The South Dakota Badlands are freakin amazing...we used to go there a lot when I was younger. There is NO better place for sunrises/sunsets, there is just so much drama with the sky and the multi-colored badlands. Good stuff, highly recommended.

It depends on what you like to do. Me and my girlfriend went to St. Simons, GA a couple weeks ago and it was great. The beach is pretty nice there and its not nearly as crowded as bigger cities. I am also a fan of Destin, FL. They have some really nice beaches there. Or if you are looking for something a little more interesting try a hiking trip. This fall we are taking a 3 day hiking trip through the Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail which should be fun.
