Speedo problem
I recently located a gage cluster for my '92 Metro that has the factory tach. I installed the cluster last evening and everything appeared to work fine...until I drove the car. Within a few miles, the check engine lamp came on. It is code 24 - vehicle speed sensor. The car has a manual trans so the sensor is attached to the back of the speedometer. The new unit came from a manual trans car. I have another speedo head with a good sensor, but cannot figure out how to remove the needle, so I can remove the odometer and sensor.
Has anyone ever taken apart a speedometer that can give me some advice? Thanks, |

Re: Speedo problem
The needle just pulls off. You might use a couple of small screwdrivers to pry it off.
