No Brake Lights 99 Savana 165k

I hooked up trailer lights....was told three light system you can not hook up without(insert name of converter) anyhow I needed brake lights and running lights on trailer was not worried about turn signals so I just hooked those two up.

At first all was fine brake and running lights on van and trailer worked......noticed last night running lights work but, no brake lights..unhooked trailer van running lights work turn signals work but, no brake lights on van

Checked fuse....thought about what I was told and cut the wire leading from the brakes to the trailer lights in case it was shorting out (no did not cut the brake lights wire from van to bulb),,,,still no brake lights....I am guessing I have shorted a module out??? not sure where it might be though.

Forgot to mention this is a boat trailer and I noticed the failure after loading boat
Thanks in advance for any help

Re: No Brake Lights 99 Savana 165k

go figure it was just a fuse.....did you know there is one that says brake (the one I checked) and one that says STOP.....which I did not check....stop was blown...brake was fine....at least it was simple
