I think it is called the CR-Z this go around. They have had it up on the Honda site for a long time now, under their prototypes.

Re: U call URSelf a CRX Enthusiast

Yes i knew about the CR-Z i wanted to see if there was any CR-X enthusiasts that really were enthusiasts and some of you proved u are and as a reward to them i give you these.

And to the rest....who cares about you, you just get lucky to see these.

As for me, im going to do what ever it takes to get one ASAP though they wont be out in Japan till 2009 and maybe in North America in 2010 or 2011.

Re: U call URSelf a CRX Enthusiast

Can I trade my reward for something else? I'm not even that big of a CRX enthusiast, just a Honda Junky. I just want the seats out of it.

Re: U call URSelf a CRX Enthusiast

I like the first one better. Basically a photoshop of an insight but I like it 100x better. Although I know its a concept and will lose 80% of the stuff on it the cr-z is a cool looking car but not a crx. Plus its a hybrid which isnt bad. But I dont see tuning potential lol.

Re: U call URSelf a CRX Enthusiast

I think the first one looks like a PShop of the new civic more then an insight. And they probably wont have much for the tuning aspect of it, but i still want to be the first one on the block to have one just cuz its still a CR- what ever you want to call it. Also nothing wrong with saving gas and the environment.

Re: U call URSelf a CRX Enthusiast

Bet a dollar it's the first production platform for GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engines, will be a hybrid, and will post an EPA rated 50-60 MPG.

Will not (most likely) be available in 5 or 6 speed, however, the likely options include Auto 5 and CVT (like the new Altima).

The most outreaching feature of all this is GDI... which is a fuel system apparently similar to MPFI, except more like Diesel Injection with gasoline, wherein the fuel is injected directly into the cylinder, which (according to Honda R&D) helps to atomize the fuel, allowing (according to Honda R&D) for a "higher compression ratio, coupled with a signifigantly less than Stoichiometric A/F ratio", apparently something more like 60:1. Obviously, there would be notable increases in fuel economy.

In closing, "Who's the CRX enthusiast now?" lol.

Re: U call URSelf a CRX Enthusiast

I'm liking the idea of a GDI engine, but on the same note, I wanna see how much power increases that one could get by using it... I mean, it's basically a way to increase the compression like crazy, and run less fuel doing it.
