ABS/Brake Light

Ive got a 99 Ram CTD and am having problem with the ABS/Brake light. I have already replaced the sensor and nothing. The Speedometer works perfectly fine as well. Any ideas as to what this could be?

TIA

Re: ABS/Brake Light

do you have a posi rear end? It could be that the clutch packs broke and are rolling around inside. Easiest way to tell is to open her up and change your fluid.

Also did you reset the computer after changing out your sensor? Disconnect the negative terminal for 5-10 mins then reconnect.

Re: ABS/Brake Light

Sorry for the untimely reply-but this may help someone. Have a 95 2500 v10 which had the abs and brake light on. Fiddled with it for several days. Finally found a wire loom that ran under the battery box was eaten away by acid from a leaking battery. Found that if I moved the wires away from the inner fender metal, the lights went out at next start up. Can't really see any rubbed thru insulation. But will be able to see more in the morning. Will need to clean up and paint the area as the spill was extensive. Hope this helps someone.
