i searched and couldnt find an answer!
ok heres the situations. i bought a pyle bandpass box with to pyle plus 10 subs in it at a yard sale for my wifes intrepid (i know i know but it was ten bucks and it does what she wants!) anyways i deal mainly with sealed boxes and this bandpass is kinda new to me. it has the subs in a chamber almost facing eachother with a peice of plexi glass on the front and the ports are also on the front. now how should i install this in her trunk? the ports facing the front of the car(pointed into the back seat) or the ports facing the trunk (ports facing the rear of the car) which should be louder inside the car? i dont care how it sounds outside the car just inside for my wife. thx for the help in advance!

Re: i searched and couldnt find an answer!
It's gonna sound like crap no matter what you do. You will be better off moving them and building either a sealed or ported, or a properly designed bandpass thats not tuned in the upper 50 hz area

Re: i searched and couldnt find an answer!
generally, ported boxes have more bass when facing the speakers and ports to the rear. As for sound quality, pretty much all prefab bandpass bass boxes fare pretty poorly.

Re: i searched and couldnt find an answer!
you will have to experiment, but usually back in a trunk car - and not always pushed against the back of the back seat either
