P0410 code 05 ls
I just bought an 05 Ls the engine light came on, has been on.
I know the code is secondary air injection fault, first thing I did was change the air filter wow was it bad, just boguht from a dealer too. I thought maybe this would fix it, did not, Now the housing where the air flow goes in I heard there is some spray you can buy to clean the screen or element in there, Just wondering if I am on the right track here. probable causes are 1)relay defective or fuse open 2) check connector and wiring 3) air pump defective or hose block Is this something the dealer should be resposible for I bought no extended warrenty, but have 60 days thanks for any input Kappy |

Re: P0410 code 05 ls
410 refers to the AIR system the pump is under the l/s of the ft floor below the dr.'s seat, there is a check valve in the line that can go bad or the pump is bad or the fuse is blown.

Re: P0410 code 05 ls
you have to check the operation of the air check valve, very common for these to get water and moisture in them, preventing operation.if there is nothing wrong with the check valve here is a bulletin to check.Subject:Repeat SES Light due to a P0410 DTC - Possible O2 Sensor
Models:2004-2005 Buick Rainier Currently, the SI diagnostics do not mention the position 1 O2 sensor as a potential cause of a P0410 DTCIf the SI diagnostics do not isolate the cause of a P0410 DTC, there is no sign of dirt or water in the AIR pump or relay, and proper AIR check valve operation is noted, replace the position 1 O2 sensor.

Re: P0410 code 05 ls
Ok thanks on the info, I still need some help.
I have replaced both relays and I don't have a blown fuse, Checked the air pump that works. Now where would the check valve be located? |

Re: P0410 code 05 ls
I had to replace my valve recently. It is on the passenger side located on the top part of the manifold. Mine is the L6 engine.

Re: P0410 code 05 ls
Can anyone give the fuse name and location in the fuse block on the fender well and what is the amperage? Am I in the right section to ask this question?

Re: P0410 code 05 ls
I have power or 12v feeding one of the ten guage wires at the relay but the pump does not run. Does this mean the fuse is good?

Re: P0410 code 05 ls
The pump will only run when commanded by the pcm. If you have power at the the relay the fuse is good, a bi-diectional scanner can command the pump on, to verify its working, the usual issue with these is a rusted/ frozen check valve/solenoid in the line. BTW you tagged on to an old thread, start a new one in the future.
