BOSE - Sub Woofer Warning

Hey all -
I just finished the moonroof repair.. before getting into it, I wanted to see what was making the sub-box rattle.

Pulled the passenger seat to get at the box, pulled the speaker from the box and found two quarters, a dime, and a Sacagawea dollar.
Ok, the box is sealed, the speaker's in place.. how'd the coins get in there? Well, there's a tuned port across the front of the box.. the port opening is directly under the passenger seat Ft.Lt. seat-track mount.

Every little thing that falls between the console and the seat winds up INSIDE the sub woofer box through that port, including dirt, rocks, kids crap, and coins.

Do yourself a favor before it becomes an issue.. cut a chunk of coarse foam and cram it into the port opening. It'll keep ALL the shit out of there and not effect the sound.
