To change the motor in a 98, does it come out from the top, or do i have to drp the whole engine/transaxle assembly drom the bottom?Anyone know how many hours the labour guide says for this job?

Engine comes out with the cradle and tranny. If your good and have the tools it could be as easy as 6 to 8 hrs. If not and you run into rust and stuff....could be a horror show.

So there is no way to lift the engine out? I dont have access to a hoist so dropping it from the bottom wouldnt be possible.

Jack the van up and use blocks to keep it high. It's easy to roll the entire front frame out and R&I the motor.
