94 Le Sabre Trans problem
Over the last few weeks I have noticed that occasionally (4-5 times) that I get in, start the car, let it warm for 30 seconds, put it in drive, step on the gas and the engine revs but the car doesnt move.I run it through all the gears and nothing, no movement. Let it idle for another 30 seconds or so and feel a slight clunk and then the car will move. Talked with a mechanic about it and he felt that the fluid was draining out of the converter and it needed time for the pump to fill it back up. Ok Maybe...
Yesterday I am getting off of the freeway and come to a stop at the end of the offramp, I step on the gas and the rpm's shoot up and no movement of the car. I rev it again, feel the clunk, and off I go. Same thing happened today. Trans was serviced about 4 months ago, fluid level good and color good. I too get the trans shudder on takeoff as well. This car was great until at about 95,000 miles, I started having multiple issues. Car now has 121,000 miles. Items replaced in the last 2 years: ECM/PCM Crankshaft Sensor Camshaft Sensor TPS O2 Sensor Motor Mounts Plugs/Wires Thanks in advance. Jack |

When you get the shudder does the front end of your car bounce up and down?

Re: 94 Le Sabre Trans problem
Not really a bounce up and down, just more like when releasing the clutch on a manual trans and not giving enough gas, just a little shudder that goes away with more accelerator pedal.
