Hi all,
I have a 91 Caravan AWD 3.3L w/115k on it. The other day while backing out of the driveway about 20ft. it refused to move any further. I tried all the forward gears and all it will do is load up against the converter. I had to put the rear wheels on dollies to get it back into the garage. I put all four corners on jackstands and all the wheels roll freely. Back on the ground it physically will not roll either forward or backward. It does not matter if the van is running or not, neutral or any other gear. It refuses to roll, period. There are no strange noises coming from the trans or anything else and there was no strange road noises. I have heard some horror stories about the transfer cases cracking and leaking fluid. But, I haven't had time yet to get it back in the air and get a good look at the transfer case for signs of leakage. My 16yr. old daughter uses the van to go back and forth to school and work. Any suggestions, ideas or help is greatly appreciated.
