Profil 24 the 997 GT3 RSR

Hi

I am still waiting for the Scale Production GT3 RSR Flying Lizard Sebring 2007
Everytime I inquire, the release of the transkit is delayed.
So I bougth the Profil 24 Kit and I am not that happy as I expected

The Body has a lot of mistakes!!!!

The Frontlips on both sides are not large enough and the engravings are missing. See picture :

The Frontcover is wrong engraved,at the backcover also engravings are missing and the Backwheelcovers are not similar.

The Front is completely wrong.Look at the markets on the photo, the frontcoolerholes at the sides are too big. Also the maincooler in the front is too big.
The underlips at the frontspoiler is missimg.

Look at the wheelcover to the front. The Original is straight while the model is round.
To see on the first photo.

The Rear.

At the original you can see that the rear moves to the air.At the model its just straight.

The decals and the Photoeachparts are great, there is nothing wrong with it.

Another thing is missing, there is no complete Rollcage.

As you can see some parts of the Rollcage are one piece with the inndoor

Buildguide and some paperprinted Pictures of the original.

With a little work you can still make a great model with this, but i have to say fort his price you should get a better quality.

Regards Roger

Re: Profil 24 the 996 GT3 RSR

The Profil 24 body never looked right to me either.

BTW, it's a 997 just to correct your thread title.

Thanks for sharing, you should have waited for the scale production kit as i have some of their kits and their work is remarkable. You can always modify it to your likings, but resin is tougher to work with. Good luck to you, as the final result should look great.

The P24 looks way off in important areas. I personally wouldn't bother fixing all the mistakes and rather wait a bit longer and get the SP kit...

What a shame, that Profil24 will bring the Flying Lizard Le Mans 2007 with such a body full of mistakes
