How can I get to the climate control actuator on an 02 without breaking too many clips, etc....

Assuming to 02 is the same as my 00, I do not recall there were any clips. Just remove the panel in the passenger foot well. Oh, and by actuator, again I am assuming you mean the vacuum motor that opens and closes the heat door.

You assumed right on all counts polarzak. I found it. It did show movement when connected. I opened it and the gears are not cracked. I'm not sure what else to check for.

Is there a drivers side actuator to control heating and cooling and if so where and how might I get to it?

I got to the drivers side vent actuator and it's done. No moment and harness has power. Does anyone know of a cheap online source for a new one? The original part # was 16164972 but has been superseded by number 89018375.
