Post Gas- what you paying right now

Well as if we all aren't feeling the pinch at the pump, and it doesn't seem it is going to let up any time soon.

Luckily I filled my truck and GA se lastnight with 93 oct premium for $3.85 gal.....

This afternoon...... that all changed, $4.06 for cheap 85 octane !!!!!

You can check your area here...

Re: Gas- what you paying right now

$3.69 at last fill up. I've seen it up to 3.99

Burns me, especially after an article I read:
1) continuing record profits for the oil companies

and

2) gas increases due to investor speculation and market worries

I call BS.

Market worries? These bastards are laughing all the way to the bank.

What are they worried about? The Saudis and other OPEC countries actually increasing oil production in an effort to drop prices?

$3.68 per gal.

Re: Gas- what you paying right now

$3.86/gal on average for 87 octane and a couple of stations are at $3.99 ( local media made a big deal out of it on the news tonight . Diesel is anywheres from $4.52 to $4.79/gal. They ran an article in our morning paper that some diesel stations, I think in the MidWest, are going to have a problem when the price of diesel in their area reaches $4.00/gal. Seems their pumps are old and only register a price per gallon up to $3.99. The state okayed them to be able to use "half- pricing " in the meantime, where they set the dials on the pump to 1/2 the actual price per gallon, and then charge double that price to the customer after the transaction. I seem to remember that happening in the '80s to some of our local stations that had old pumps that didn't go beyond .99 cents /gal. when the price of gas reached $1.00/gal.

Re: Gas- what you paying right now

Well they dropped thier prices around here today...
down to $3.78, like we're getting some kinda deal.

I havnt driven much the last couple months, the higher it goes.... the less I drive.

We all should just use as much as possible.
I say hurry up and use it all , probly be cheaper in the long run.
