radio/CD Player goes off when car come to a stop

Occasionally when I am driving and I come to a red light my radio sometimes blacks out for about 2-3 seconds, like if it's not getting enough power............i have no clue why..............

check your charging systems (alternator). Autozone does free checks

Re: radio/CD Player goes off when car come to a stop

often times when electrical issues like this happen, it means that something is grounding out. check all the wires on the harness behind the radio, also try hooking up a separate power wire to the radio, the drawback with that is you'll always have power to the radio even when the key is not in the ignition. More than likely its a ground that's not supposed to be there or like RC1488 said, it could be an improper completion of the ignition charge circuit. Although if that were the case you wouldn't only lose power to the radio, but the rest of the car as well.
