Re: troubles with trouble codes

if you do have to change your O2 sensor make sure you get the right one. some 94s with the 1.0 have a single wire and some have a multi wire. mine had a multi wire and to get it it had to come from a 95 model.

The sensor is located on the exhaust manifold on the passenger side of the manifold before the curved pipe.

Re: troubles with trouble codes

Thanx! Got that one fixed.... Got a 94 with code 12,timing belt, right? Replaced timing belt, car is running beautiful, but code still flashes and car dies every so often. Tried unhooking battery for about an hour to clear code, but to no avail..... Can this darn code go away without the use of a scanner?

Re: troubles with trouble codes

I would try to get a feel for why its shutting down for example is it a clean electrical cutoff or fuel related, more gradual lowering RPM more or less starving out.

I had a problem with one car years ago just couldn’t get it and didn’t know what to do. The car would start, run perfect, and without warning would cut out, but would restart again not right away but in a minute or so.

I started driving the car around in a couple mile square to force the shut down so I could examine it closer. When it finally shut down on me got off the road to see if I could learn more about the problem. Pulled off the fuel line to carb it was bone dry. In that case it was the sock filter.

Re: troubles with trouble codes

You did pull out the 30 amp fuse right. you arn't suppose to leave it in there.
possible could be causing the problem if it is in there. Bad gas?
