Wiring questioin

I just got this 2005 Grand Am, and it has no radio, it appears they use to have an aftermarket radio in it,... founded the wire for speakers, and ign hot and hot always wire, and gnd.... and see they have 7 wires taped up in a bunch which is not connected,(brn,L-grn,D-grn,pink,purp,black,gray..it appears they didn't use these 7....... However, my question is, I also have a 4 wire black plug hanging out and not sure if it would have been to the original factory radio or if something unconnected in dash, it has 4 wires in it, one black, one brown/white striipe, one black/white stripe, and one gray... Can anyone tell me if this was to the factory radio or if to some component behind dash that I need to reconnect?... thanks

Re: Wiring questioin

probly was the front speaker plug. I think thier are 3 factory plugs, front spk, rear spk, and power-grnd, etc.

This site has the 2005 but just alarm wiring, check out the 2004 its the same, theres even one here in the tips and maintenance section for the 1999-2003, which is basicly the same.

The previous owner most likly ran thier own wires for speakers, does sound much better IMO.
