96 firebird prob.

I bought a 96 firebird with out a remote. So i bought one off of ebay and programed the remote. Everything worked fine. The rear hatched opened when i hit the button on the remote and everything. Then I turned off the car for a few hours. Came back and my radio does not work (even though the ant pops up when i start the car) and the rear hatch does not relese with the remote or the button in the car. I do hear a click from the dash when i press the button on them though. What could i have screwed up? Im afraid to take it to a shop and have them do 3 mins of work and i end up paying 100 bucks or somthing.

Blah!!! after hours of me looking at this prob. i over looked the first thing i looked at. ...i just looked at the wrong bloody fuse. Im such a dumb ass.

Well this is odd. It seems using the remote blows the fuse. Could be why it did not come with one. Odd. Is there some wire prob that the 96 had that would do this? Or could my car be screwed up in that area?

Not sure how bad this could be, but i put in a 30 fuse. That one is holding so far. What could i break doing this?

I don't know what the problem is, but that 30 amp fuse could cause the car to catch fire! Take it out.

Or let it burn to collect insurance....oops I didn't say that.
